Julie Youssef
Heya! My name is Julie Youssef. I'm 20 years old and a junior at Emory University in Atlanta, GA-go Eagles!!! Woohoooo! Since you somehow wandered on this page, I'm assuming you wanna know more about me, so knock yourself out! I am from the coolest country in the world--
During the summer of 1996, I went to the National Science Foundation's Young Scholars in Computing program at Furman University--aka "CyberGeek Camp." That's where I learned all about Java and HTML and basically all the cool stuff computer geeks are born knowing. I had tons of fun there and one of our final assignments in the conference was to create a web page concerning issues of the Internet. My friends and I worked on a group project about Censoring the Internet Through Screening Software. You can imagine how much fun that was-we were given a list of bad websites and we had to see which of the screening softwares actually worked. Check out our findings here.
